I've always loved timber, freshly sawn pine, has the most beautiful smell when there is still plenty on resin in the timber. It also makes a great fence, but needs to be treated to prevent decay. The crafty old crow, provides good contrast in the painting and he is inspecting the workmanship of the fence team, who have just left.
